Heike Hartung, PhD habil., is a senior scholar and qualified professor (Privatdozentin) in Anglophone Literatures at the University of Potsdam, Germany. She is associated as an honorary CIRAC Fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Aging and Care at the University of Graz, Austria.  She earned her PhD in English Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin and her PhD habil. in Anglophone LIteratures and Culture at the University of Potsdam.

Hartung focuses in her research on narrative theory and the history of the novel, with numerous publications also in the fields of Ageing Studies, Disability and Dementia Studies and Gender Studies.
